Our princess parties are always such a fun time!
We love seeing all the smiles, the sticky frosting fingers, the giggles at our princess games, gasps of surprise when the princess arrives. But we know a lot of planning and work goes into making that special day happen. Here on the Princess Pros blog, we're putting together lists of our favorite birthday party ideas, princess games, yummy treats, magical decorations and more! Here's part one: Princess Games! When you invite a Princess Pros princess to your party, she does everything! She sings, and reads stories and leads the children in all types of fun birthday activities, so you don't have to plan a thing. But what to do after the princess leaves? Or before the princess arrives, how will you distract your guests until that moment of surprise when the princess shows up at the door? With some princess games, of course! Here, we've listed four of our favorite princess birthday party games! Comment and let us know your favorites! Princess Freeze Dance This is one of our favorite princess games! It's so very simple and requires no set up! Simply have the Ice Queen (or appoint one of the children to be the Ice Queen) control the music, and when she stops the music, she will 'freeze' all the children. Then they melt again when the music starts back up. Whoever moves when they are supposed to be 'frozen' is out! Or you can play non-competitively and have the children take turns being Ice Queen until everyone has a had a turn! Ice's Queen Crazy Snowball Game This one is a little more challenging and for children in the 5 and up range - but the results are HILARIOUS. All the children must try to keep white or blue balloons (the snowballs) in the air when music is going. When the Ice Princess stops the music (or whoever you appoint to control music), everyone freezes. Just like princess freeze dance, but here's the catch. The Ice Princess then pulls a child's name out of the bag. The child called must pop the snowball to reveal a challenge inside. The challenges can be a number of things, including:
Find The Treasure This one is great for an Under the Sea princess party! Hide seashells all over the room while the The Little Mermaid reads stories. Then the Mermaid Princess will tell everyone that a shark came through and scattered her collection all over the sea! The children can help collect the shells and put them back into her treasure chest! For a Cinderella party, you can hide the glass slipper and give them a time limit (must find the glass slipper before midnight!) You can also hide gold coins, and then distribute them as prizes after they are all found. Glass Slipper Relay For this game, all you need is SHOES! Divide the guests into two teams and put a big pile of princess shoes between them. One child from each team digs through the pile as fast as possible to try to find a matching pair. When they find the shoes, they must put them on, walk down the "runway" and back up. Once she has completed her walk, the next girl on the team gets a turn. The first team to have all their girls walk the runway will win! And of course, a princess party isn't complete without a REAL princess to lead the games! Our princesses play games like these and do so much more when you book Princess Pros for your birthday party! See our available characters here We serve Wichita, Kansas and the surrounding areas. We had a blast at Northshire bookstore in Saratoga at the Fairy Party this last weekend!
We read stories, made magic wands, and did a scavenger hunt for some of our fairy friends! Thanks for having us! Comment if you were there! Well, it's been almost a week since our princesses made the long trip across the country to settle in our new location in Albany, NY. We love it here and can't wait to start visiting parties again!
To celebrate, we're giving away a free princess party in Albany! See the contest on Facebook and enter by liking the post, commenting your favorite princess, and sharing the post with your friends!
